Deacon/Administrator
Chris Fellows became a disciple of Jesus Christ in the Athens Church of Christ in 1991 while pursuing an Accounting degree at the University of Georgia. Dwan became a disciple of Jesus Christ in 1991 in the Athens Church of Christ, also. Chris and Dwan were married in 1994 and shortly thereafter moved to Atlanta where they pursued professional careers and had two children. In 2002, they were part of the Savannah Church of Christ Mission Team that was planted by the Atlanta Church of Christ. Chris enjoys using his gifts of administration to serve the church as a Deacon and a part-time Administrator. Chris and his family live in Pooler, GA where he and Dwan lead the West Chatham/Effingham Small Group of the Savannah Church of Christ.

Joe and Fern Thomas have been members of the church in Savannah since March 2015. Joe became a Christian in 1979 at the Ohio State University. He has been a member of mission team plantings to New York City (1983) and Mumbai, India (1988), and led mission team plantings to Brooklyn, NY and Staten Island, NY. He has served as a Deacon in Brooklyn, NY and Elder at Columbia Church of Christ where he and Fern were members from 2006 to 2015. Fern became a Christian in 1984 in New York City, and was a member of the team that planted the church in Staten Island. She served on staff at the Columbia Church of Christ as the Children’s Ministry coordinator. Joe and Fern were married in 1989 and have two grown children: Emily and James. Both children are members of the Columbia Church of Christ.
